Plymouth, NC is the county seat and serves as a Base Camp for all your wildlife excursions in Northeastern, NC. With four motels and numerous restaurants, Plymouth is the centrally located hub of the wheel with spokes reaching out across the region in all directions to a myriad of Inner Banks waterways, national wildlife refuges and state parks. Plymouth is also the gateway to the Roanoke River Delta, which is NC's Amazon. There are over 50 miles of shoreline within 5 miles of Plymouth!

The Roanoke River Lighthouse and Maritime Museum, God's Creation Wildlife Museum, Bear-Ology Black Bear Discovery Center and the Port O' Plymouth Civil War Museums are within easy walking distance in downtown Plymouth.
