Town of Roper
Roper is a small historic community nestled between Plymouth and Creswell along Hwy 64. Although primarily an agricultural community today, timber was once king and Roper was known far and wide for its cypress and white cedar shingles and lumber.

Mackeys Community
The community we know today as Mackeys had its beginning in the very early 1700s as Lee’s Point. Lee’s Point acquired its name as a result of its use as a transfer point for lumber sawed at the water-powered saw in what we know today in Roper.
Pea-Ridge Community
Pea Ridge is a small, rural community in Skinnersville Township that is nestled along the south shore of the Albemarle Sound.
